Amateur Team Rider
I picked up my first skimboard just about 2 years ago, and haven’t really been able to put it down since then. I’ve always loved sports, but skimboarding caught my attention in a different way. It is a challenging sport, there are no constants when it comes to conditions. The whole time you’re out skimboarding you’re on the edge of something so vast and unknown it is hard to comprehend. Yet, as skimboarders, we try every session to read what the ocean is offering us: wind directions, swell directions, slope, sand movements… There’s so many different components that goes into skimboarding. Working with the ocean is humbling, it’s hard to not get addicted.
